Oadby Coronation event

 Over the long Coronation bank holiday weekend, we celebrated the Coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla.

 

Monday 8 May 2023 saw the very diverse and multicultural Oadby and Wigston and South Wigston residents come out and enjoy the vast array of delicious mixture of savoury  and sweet galore to eat, with the traditional samosas and pakoras and home-made delicious cakes yum. All washed down with some hot chai and coffees and soft drinks. 

 

Communities across the borough came to Ellis Park in Oadby to Dance and enjoy the festivities and the lovely picnics to celebrate the Coronation. It was beautiful to see everyone enjoying themselves despite the cold weather and I really enjoyed the time with my friends and family.

 

A massive thank you to everyone involved for such a great event.
